- I'm currently a member with the Langley Camera Club enjoying a great network of people including Delta and other clubs I've been introduced to over the past year. I'm also a member of CAPA and with that said, I was so honoured and excited this year to receive the Bronze medal in the Postcard competition. A total shocker to me. So I encourage you all to go for it when the mood strikes. You never know.
I've had Art in my life from the time I was three and my father used to be the family photographer so my passion was there from the start.
I've been seriously into photography for over 20 years making my way into the digital world back in 1999 with my first digital point and shoot then putting my Nikon F90X away in 2002 when I bought my D100. I spend a lot of time in the digital darkroom working with Photoshop CS3 where I'm self taught with a little help from my friends. I am constantly producing new art forms from my photographs so I guess you could call me a digital artist. My interests in subjects are varied with a special place in my heart for macro anything. Children are another especially since I have six grandchildren. I am continually inspired by the beauty that surrounds me. I was born and raised here and could never leave this place on earth that produces the magic light on a daily basis. I produce Greeting / Note cards and artistic creations for home and business wall displays. My tag line when creating for sale is, "Images That Make Your Heart Smile". I've been a member with a Pro Account on Flickr for over three years now. It's a great community to belong to with a wealth of information at your feet. It has brought together a planet full of the most astounding talent. I highly recommend anyone to join. Next a Website of my own.
- My Equipment
- Nikon D100, various Nikor lenses from my 60 mm Macro to to my 80-300 Telephoto. An SB-80D Speedlight, a couple of strobes and portable portrait set up. Time to make some money for some new equipment ...
I have big dreams on my wish list to own a D700.
Can't forget the software because it is a definite part of my creations. I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 with my new Wacom Intuos4 Tablet. However, that I'm still getting used to using but I can see great things happening. Then the biggest piece of equipment of all ... my brain ... "When" it wants to work, Ha Ha.
