Workshop Night - B&W Master Class Pt.2 at KinVillage Community Centre

This class will start off where Part 1 ended and will cover Best B&W Subjects and then some 'Best Practices' for B&W Conversion using tools like Lightroom, Photoshop and Silver Efex Pro with some tips and tricks. Some printing discussions. This session will end with a Q&A Session.See More

- I've been a photography enthusiast for over 30 years, only recently translating this into a small commercial side business. Though I still love traveling and capturing images of the wonderful places we've visited, I find it extremely rewarding to photograph people (their reactions are so much more fullfilling than, say, the reaction of a tree or mountain). Taking good portraits is also among the most difficult things I've ever done. I agree with Greg Gorman when he says that it's 50% photography and 50 % psychiatry.
In my commercial work, I focus primarily on fashion and beauty portraiture with some wedding work as well. Almost all my images are photoshopped. I have yet to see a perfect image come straight out of a camera, especially of a person. There's always a bit of tweaking that can be done to help someone look his/her best.
