About Me
I joined the Delta Photo Guild in 1984,wow thats 26 yrs ago, who bothers keeping track, in that time I have held several jobs on the Club Executive, President, Vice President, Secretary, Competitions Chairman, that last one for 14 yrs, I have to say it sounds like a lot of work, but not really it was mostly a lot of fun. Besides you only get back what you put into any club you belong to. Like most people I am self taught, a typical case of the blind leading the blind except I was a club member, and that made all the difference, being able to ask for help and getting it, and not being made to feel like a complete clown in the process. Thats the real strength of the club and its reason for being plus the social side too of course. Its a welcoming place where you feel you are among kindred spirits, we are all on the same learning curve helping each other to get higher up. Just so we can all have more fun making better photographs.

Thank you!  Yes, you're probably right, as my Mother, who was a newspaper reporter who took her own photos back in the 50s & 60s, has suddenly noticed too.  Some of us don't have such great childhood's to start from, but we recover and learn fast, ha!  Besides it's never too late to learn new things; I intend to continue until I become dust.  You're welcome to share your knowledge and tips with me anytime.
