"Thanks for the compliment Frank, I need all the encouragement I can get, your idea for a club meeting at Kin House is a good one, would it be prints or projected, the latter would be best so a larger number of club members could take part. Cheers…"
I joined the Delta Photo Guild in 1984,wow thats 26 yrs ago, who bothers keeping track, in that time I have held several jobs on the Club Executive, President, Vice President, Secretary, Competitions Chairman, that last one for 14 yrs, I have to say it sounds like a lot of work, but not really it was mostly a lot of fun. Besides you only get back what you put into any club you belong to. Like most people I am self taught, a typical case of the blind leading the blind except I was a club member, and that made all the difference, being able to ask for help and getting it, and not being made to feel like a complete clown in the process. Thats the real strength of the club and its reason for being plus the social side too of course. Its a welcoming place where you feel you are among kindred spirits, we are all on the same learning curve helping each other to get higher up. Just so we can all have more fun making better photographs.
