Hi Folks. I just rejoined the club this year and I'm really enjoying the weekly meetings. Also looking forward to having my Canon questions answered here.

 

FYI I'm using an Rebel XTi with the std 18-55mm lens plus lenses from my old EOS650 film days - a 28-80mm F3.5/5.6, 70-200mm F4 and a 50mm f1.8 kit lens. Now my question, how does the quality of these lenses compare to current lenses?

I share your frustration, Janusz, as I just got the new 5d. As far as I understand it, we have a choice of using Canon's software for the raw files, convert the files into DNG format via Adobe's converter, upgrade to CS4 or perhaps use LIghtroom. I am just trying to figure out if the latest version of Lightroom supports the 5d mark ii. Frustrating, isn't it? Cheers. Karoline

I have just aquired a 50mm 1,4 and a 100 mm Macro for my 40D and am wondering on which lens a polarizer would be more useful...I am going to Mexico for 4 months...
ALSO where is a good place to Buy and is one Brand superior to another (which to avoid)?
