Portrait of 'Syd' The Red Tailed Hawk (Click on Photo to Enlarge)

From time to time I will hilight a members Bird photo here. I have started with this Portrait of Syd.

RULES: Please always label your photos with a proper title (Not a number) and some information on the bird (Name if known) and where (Country and Region) it was taken in.

Comment by George Pierce on November 13, 2011 at 12:18am: Yes both in Alice Springs; the bottom one is a Butcher bird (commonly called a Magpie) and the top is a Kite, Whistling Kite I believe although not positive. Taken with my 5D Mark II and 300 mm lens, ISO 640, 1/2500 sec. The one above is a Fairy Wren, same location and equipment, ISO 250.
