It’s the start of a new year, full of 365 days of photographic possibilities. With a number of upcoming competitions, January 9th digital night is a great time to show your work, get feedback and fine tune your submissions; or just share what you’ve been photographing recently.

To help guide you for possible digital night feedback, the two upcoming competitions are as follows:
A) CAPA Pacific Zone Print Challenge
Theme: Open
Matting: Either black or white
DPC club selection night: January 16

B) North Shore Photographic Challenge
Theme: Open
DPC club selection night: January 30
Note: This competition is also open to individual submissions as well as submissions through clubs.

The themes for this month are:

1. Holiday Season
Share your holiday season favourites. Images can be of light displays, family moments, or Santa Claus himself.

2. Open
Share with others your intended competition images or your recent work. Members can ask for feedback and/or provide how, when, and where images were taken.

As we usually have lots of time each member can submit up to 5 images in each category.

Members can also send short slideshows or videos.  We will show all the Holiday photos first, Open category second and videos third, as time permits.

Remember, for the best display quality, images should be resized to a maximum width of 1920 pixels and a maximum height of 1080 pixels. This may not be possible with cell/tablet images so please send us the largest image possible, up to the limits indicated above.
